Wal and Liz Hudson established Waliz Nuts in the mid-1980s after falling in love with the picturesque Byron Bay hinterland. They bought a small acreage in Newrybar as a holiday destination but after seeing the work being done in the surrounding macadamia plantations, Wal convinced the family to spend the summer planting some 3000 cuttings. Eight years later, Waliz Nuts celebrated their first harvest and now produce 500 Tonnes of macadamias each year for wholesalers across Australia and overseas. Our Newrybar factory includes state-of-the-art form fill and flow wrapping machines, which is vital for our range of quality products. From root to fruit we have total quality control ensuring our customers experience the best tasting macadamia products on the market.
